The Chaser (2008)

este filme não é perfeito, mas é mais um bom exemplo de um thriller coreano bem conseguido. Bem na linha do que já nos foi apresentado em filmes como Old Boy ou Memories Of A Murder. A história é boa, os actores muito bons e a acção desenrola-se a um bom ritmo.
Nunca lhe darei a mesma atenção que tem Old Boy, embora em Cannes 2008 foram atribuidas 3 de 4 estrelas possiveis. Mas quanto a mim a história tem alguns buracos que inicialmente nos deixam baralhados, mas que ao rever percebemos que não têm qualquer interesse ou importância na história. Gosto da maneira fria como o serial killer gere as situações e adoro a brutalidade das mortes!
Tal como já aconteceu com o grande Infernal Affairs em Departed, vamos ter direito a um remake americano com o Leonardo Di Caprio à mistura:

"Now, word comes that DiCaprio might lead a William Monahan-adapted remake of the Korean hit The Chaser, which was only released in that country last month. I guess the $20 million+ it's earned so far speaks to its appeal, if not the fact that Warner Brothers picked up the remake rights earlier this week for reportedly $1 million. Not bad.Thankfully, this isn't another Grudge or any of that Asia-to-America horror nonsense. At a high level, the film will depict DiCaprio as an "ex-cop who goes on the warpath trying to find a missing girl. The girl, who may or may not be alive, is being used by a serial killer to taunt the police." fonte
